Our
Roots
Green Valley
Greenhouse
"For as the earth brings forth it's bud, as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations."
-Isaiah 61:11
When Green Valley Greenhouse began in 1977, about all Wayne and Jane Davis had was vision, work ethic, and a desire to honor the Lord in all that they did. Those qualities are what led them from growing cucumbers and sweet corn to becoming one of the largest plant suppliers in the state and nation. After moving on from field vegetable production, Wayne and Jane built their first greenhouse and concentrated on growing high quality plants at affordable prices. From selling at the Minneapolis Farmers Market to serving local and national retailers, the business has grown to 22 acres of growing facilities, has second generation owners, third generation employees, and is one of the Top 100 Growers in the nation. Aaron and Christina Davis and Brad and Kris Wolf took over ownership in 2014. Fueled by the foundation laid before them, and the desire to serve our customers and employees, the following core focus was laid out:
-
Bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ
-
Grow people
-
Provide exceptional plants at exceptional value
